BRIGHTEN YOUR SMILE IN LEAMINGTON SPA
Teeth whitening is a very simple and straightforward way to produce a great transformation in your smile. It can be used as a stand alone treatment or as part of a larger more complex smile makeover transformation.
At The Grove Practice we use a home based whitening called Boutique Whitening. First, we digitally scan your teeth – no messy impressions required – and then we construct custom made whitening trays for you. We will then show you how to load these trays with the Boutique Whitening gel and position them in your mouth.

What our Warwickshire patients say

Professional vs. over-the-counter whitening
While many whitening products are available in shops and online, professional whitening offers several significant advantages:
These advantages make professional whitening not only more effective but also safer and more comfortable than DIY alternatives.

Is professional teeth whitening safe?
Yes, professional teeth whitening under dental supervision is safe for most patients. We assess your oral health before recommending whitening and provide customised treatment to minimise risks.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Results typically last 1-3 years, depending on your habits and oral hygiene. Consuming staining foods and beverages, smoking, or poor oral hygiene can shorten the longevity of your results.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some patients experience temporary sensitivity during whitening treatment. The Boutique Whitening system we use is designed to minimise sensitivity, and we can provide additional desensitising products if needed.
Can I whiten if I have fillings, crowns, or veneers?
Whitening only affects natural tooth structure; it won't change the colour of existing dental work. If you have visible restorations, we'll discuss how whitening might affect the overall appearance of your smile and whether replacement of existing work might be necessary for a uniform result.
Can all types of discolouration be whitened?
No, not all discolouration responds to whitening. Intrinsic stains from certain medications, excessive fluoride, or trauma may be resistant to whitening. In these cases, we might recommend alternative cosmetic treatments like veneers.
How white will my teeth get?
Results vary depending on your starting shade and the nature of your discolouration. Most patients see an improvement of several shades. During your consultation, we can discuss realistic expectations based on your specific situation.
Will whitening damage my enamel?
Professional whitening, when properly administered, does not damage healthy enamel. The whitening agents temporarily make teeth more porous, which can cause sensitivity, but this effect is reversible.
