Dr Wilfred Elliott
BSc (Hons) (KCL) MSc (Dist.) (QMUL) BDS (Hons) (KCL)
I graduated as a dentist from King’s College London (Guy’s Hospital) in 2023, having previously completed a BSc in Biomedical Science at King’s and an MSc in Oral Biology at Queen Mary University of London (Barts).
Since qualifying, I have worked in general practice and was honoured to receive the John Gilmour Prize for outstanding achievement in my first year as a general dentist amongst my peers across the midlands. Most recently, I have worked in the Oral and Maxillofacial department at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire, gaining valuable surgical experience in managing complex dental cases. I still work the odd weekend here so please say Hi if you see me!
I am a member of the British Dental Association and committed to continuous learning and development to ensure I can offer my patients the highest standard of care. My clinical interests include restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and helping patients overcome dental anxiety through a calm, reassuring approach.
One of the most exciting parts of my work is seeing that ‘click’ in patients’ minds when they realise the connection between their oral health, general wellbeing, and overall happiness. Helping someone see how their smile can improve not just their confidence but their whole outlook on life is incredibly rewarding.
Occasionally, my enthusiasm for dentistry gets the better of me — I love to explain, sometimes in too much detail, exactly what I’m doing and why! If this ever gets too much, or if you find yourself yawning uncontrollably, please don’t hesitate to tell me to stop talking!
I particularly enjoy treating nervous patients, which comes from personal experience — as a child, I was terrified of the dentist. In a way, becoming one myself was my way of putting that right and proving that, actually, dentists aren’t so bad after all. My goal is always to create a calm, understanding environment where patients feel safe, supported, and in control.
I was brought up in the Netherlands, which might explain why I’m often more comfortable on wheels than on my own two feet! I’m a keen cyclist and enjoy staying active through running and playing tennis. I also love watching football — especially when my beloved Liverpool FC are playing.
Outside of work, I have recently bought my first home in Leamington Spa and enjoy walking, running and cycling around this beautiful town - the sharp-eyed amongst you might see me whizzing past! I’m a proud cat-dad and enjoy spending my free time outdoors or exploring new places with family and friends.
Above all, my aim is to provide dentistry that is caring, honest, and tailored to each individual. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile.
